STARTING THE YEAR OFF RIGHT

As we dive into the holiday season, it seems like a good time to reflect on what Tonal Recall has accomplished so far this year! Starting with auditions in September, the year began on an incredible note (haha music pun) when a huge group of talented musicians were invited to join the group. Tonal Recall now consists of 16 diversely talented, and spectacularly cool humans (if we may say so ourselves). With so many new members, it was important to start off the year by establishing a group dynamic and getting to know each other musically and personally. We learned two awesome arrangements: a 90s medley and a mash-up of Daydreaming and How Will I Know. We used those two pieces for our ICCA 2017 audition. As soon as we finished that task, we moved on to arranging pieces as a group for an upcoming gig. Well...actually we had a party first...but then we moved on to our next arrangements! In just a couple weeks we had three new arrangements to perform at the 48 in 48 corporate event. The performance went without a hitch, and we've already been invited back to perform at the event in 2018! Now, we face an array of upcoming performance opportunities intertwined with a whole lot of hot chocolate. Time to take on the holidays!
